Job description

What are you going to do?
You gain and share a deep understanding of the dynamics of cargo flows on the route/network and of the competitive environment.

You use multiple sources of data and cargo commercial tools to forge your insights

You identify and enable business opportunities to be seized in cooperation with the local and key account sales organization as well as central stakeholders.

You build business cases in cooperation with cargo network planning teams to influence corporate network planning on network decisions.

You deep dive in product, customer, market analysis when required to support larger projects (organization, product positioning…) and Cargo leaders.

You lead and manage change related to sales opportunities triggered by data analytics.

You own sales tooling budget and developments.

 

You do so by frequently interacting with a wide range of stakeholders in the organization: Areas and Markets, Pricing Revenue Management, Verticals, Alliances.

The Business Development Manager is part of the Commercial Strategy & Performance Management department of Air France – KLM – Martinair Cargo. You will be based in Air France Head Office (CDG) in an open space with Pricing & Revenue Management teams, while the rest of your team is based in Amsterdam.

You will report directly to the Director Commercial Strategy & Performance Management also based in Amsterdam.

Sought profile

You have strong analytical skills and commercial- & organizational awareness. You are structured in your way of working and assertive. Next to this, you have:

*  University or HBO degree

*  Between 4 and 8 years of working experience (preferably in a commercial environment or in industrial business development)

*  Fluent in English (C1 / TOEIC 945)

*  Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

*  Experience within international and/or multicultural environments experiences
