Rémunération

  • A gross annual base salary between €43,000 and €45,500, depending on your qualifications.
  • An individual variable bonus based on your performance, up to 2% of your gross annual base salary.

Within the European Cargo Sales & Distribution division, the Business Development Manager holds a strategic role: this position is central to the performance, growth, and optimization of our intercontinental network.

It is a role of influence and impact, at the intersection of European markets, Pricing & Revenue Management, and our partners in the transatlantic joint venture with Delta and Virgin.

In a demanding, stimulating, and constantly evolving international environment, the Business Development Manager acts as a catalyst for performance and collaboration.

His or her role goes beyond simple coordination: he or she aligns local strategies with the group’s global vision, anticipates market trends, and translates strategy into concrete, measurable actions.

As a true ambassador for European performance, he or she works to strengthen alignment among local teams, headquarters, and partners (AF, KL, DL, and VS) and drives a collective dynamic focused on commercial excellence and the creation of sustainable value.

Job description

As the Business Development Manager for Europe Cargo, you are the driving force behind business development and network optimization.

Your mission: to identify growth opportunities, turn data into strategic decisions, and convert opportunities into tangible results.

As a key member of the Europe Management Team, you’ll work closely with Market Managers, Vertical Teams, Key Accounts, and Pricing & Revenue Management to drive performance across more than 100 intercontinental routes.

Your role is analytical, strategic, and unifying: you connect teams, align priorities, and give meaning to collective action.

As the true orchestrator of business development, you combine analysis, vision, and leadership to create value across the entire network. You also embody the transformation of the business model by promoting a data-driven culture, rapid execution, and cross-functional collaboration at all levels.

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Anticipate and understand market dynamics, competition, and customer trends to guide strategy.
  • Share relevant insights and guide teams in their local and regional business decisions.
  • Co-define the sales strategy for routes with the PRM and ensure consistency of actions across the entire network.
  • Identify, prioritize, and capitalize on the most promising opportunities to boost profitability and strengthen the company’s competitive position.
  • Monitor, analyze, and scrutinize performance (revenue, volume, profitability) to recommend and implement the right adjustments.
  • Support the transition to a more digital and data-driven model by leveraging data to accelerate performance and improve decision-making.

One to two business trips per quarter within Europe.

Sought profile

Has initial experience in a sales environment, ideally in air freight.

Demonstrates a strong business focus, analytical skills, and the ability to influence and bring people together without formal authority.
